Pagewise Privacy Policy

Effective: 19 October 2026

In short: Pagewise works on your device. Your documents, signatures, form entries and settings stay on your phone. Pagewise has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it never sends your documents to us or anyone else. The only part of Pagewise that uses the internet is the optional Pro purchase, which Google Play handles. If you choose to email us, we receive what you send.

1. Who we are

Pagewise is published by Lecaai, an individual developer based in India ("we", "us"). For the limited personal data described in section 6 (emails you send us), Lecaai is the data controller (data fiduciary under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). Contact: mail@lecaai.com.

2. Your documents and what you make in Pagewise

Everything you open, create, edit, sign, fill in, recognise (OCR), redact, compress, convert or print in Pagewise is processed on your device and stored in Pagewise's private storage on your device. That includes your PDFs, saved signatures and initials, stamps, text typed into forms, comments, your author name and your settings. Text recognition, conversion, redaction and every other tool run entirely on your phone. Nothing is processed in the cloud.

We never receive, upload, access, read, store, sell or share any of it. We have no server that receives documents, and Pagewise contains no code that sends them to us.

Pagewise does not take part in Android's automatic backup, so its data is not copied to your Google account. If you uninstall Pagewise or clear its data, everything stored inside it is permanently deleted, and we cannot recover it. Keep your own copies of documents you need.

3. Files you share, save, print or open

When you choose to share, save, export or print a document, Pagewise passes it to the app, folder, printer or service you choose. From then on, that destination's own terms and privacy policy apply. When you open a file from another app, Pagewise receives only that file. Pagewise does this only when you ask it to.

4. Purchases through Google Play

Pagewise is free to download. Pagewise Pro is an optional one-time purchase made through Google Play's billing system. Google processes your payment and payment details as an independent controller under the Google Privacy Policy. To unlock and restore Pro, the app asks Google Play whether your Google account owns Pro, and confirms (acknowledges) a new purchase to Google. Pagewise keeps only a yes/no record of whether Pro is unlocked, on your device. The app itself never receives your name, email address or payment details. Like every app publisher, we receive order and sales records from Google Play Console, such as order numbers, dates, prices and buyers' countries. We use them only for accounting, tax, refunds and preventing fraud, and keep them as long as tax law requires.

Ratings. After you have used Pagewise for a while, it may ask Google Play to show Google's own rating box. Anything you enter there goes to Google and is published on Google Play under Google's policies. Pagewise does not receive it, except as a public review on Google Play.

5. What we do not collect

Pagewise contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting, attribution, tracking or social-media software. We do not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, browsing history or usage statistics. We do not sell or "share" personal information (as those words are used in the California Consumer Privacy Act), we do not build profiles, and we do not use your data for advertising or to train any artificial-intelligence model. The only third-party software in Pagewise that uses the internet is Google Play's billing and in-app review libraries, for the purchase and the rating box described in section 4. Android and Google Play may collect information under their own policies and your device settings, which we do not control.

6. If you contact us

If you write to us, for example through Settings → Help & feedback (which opens your own email app), we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach or include. The email the app prepares includes the Pagewise version, Android version and device model, to help us answer, and you can delete them before sending. We use this information only to reply to you and to fix problems you report. We keep it for up to 24 months after our last exchange, then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer. We do not add you to any mailing list.

7. Permissions

8. Security

Your data stays in Pagewise's private storage, which Android protects from other apps, and which your device's own encryption and screen lock protect. You can also add passwords to documents. No method of storing data is completely secure, so please keep your device protected and up to date. Because we hold none of your documents, a breach of our systems cannot expose them.

9. Children

Pagewise is a general productivity app. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data by email, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. These rights come from laws such as the EU and UK GDPR, India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Because your documents and settings exist only on your device, you control them directly: delete documents in Pagewise, or uninstall it to remove everything. For emails you have sent us, or any privacy question, request or grievance, write to mail@lecaai.com. We will answer within 30 days, and we will not treat you differently for using your rights.

The legal basis for handling your emails is our legitimate interest in answering you and your request itself (GDPR Article 6(1)(b) and (f)). We do not transfer personal data abroad ourselves. Email providers may route messages internationally under their own safeguards.

11. Future features

If a future version of Pagewise offers a feature that needs a server, such as sending a document to others to sign or using Pro on a computer, it will be optional, and we will explain what it sends before you use it. We will update this policy before such a version is released.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will publish the new version at this address with a new effective date. For important changes we will also tell you in the app or on this site before they take effect.
